The Frankfurt Galaxy seem to play in a kind of deja-vu.

Look at their Playoff schedule in season 5:

Week 15: 13-6 vs London             WC
Week 16: 14-7 at Austria                             EFC
Week 17: 21-13 vs Ohio      BOWL

And now look this years schedule:

Week 15: 21-20 vs London       WC
Week 16: 22-19 at Austria (ot)                     EFC
Week 17: ?-?   vs Ohio                      BOWL

Is it just a coincidence or a sign ?

That 5th season Frankfurt started the season with 3 straight losses.
The first game was like this season a loss against London.

However FRankfurt GM M. Lambert is playing all this down:
"If you try you can proove everything with statistics. I dont believe in deja-vu
or something like that. But I do believ in a great, healthy team that has spared
his best performances for the most important games.

Will we win the Bowl ?  - I hope so.
But even if we do not win, we hav achieved a lot more then any of the so called experts
thought we could. And therefore I am allready very proud of the Galaxy !"

Should be a great final, i would say Ohio are big underdogs but if you look closer at your team you have an excellent squad and the offense is firing on all cylinders.  Frankfurt on the other hands are a classy team and of course current FWL Bowl champions.  Excellent clash on paper

Frankfurt will destroy Ohio by 17....... unless....... the "bekreinering" of Ohio pays off and they win by a last second 79yr-fumble-return in overtime after Frankfurt missed 3 FGs in the 4Q and another one in OT.....

I only say: YESSSS !

Ross, a great game and a lot closer then the score suggests.
Especially the one penalty early in the game was crucial.

So the Galaxy is in the playoff still undefeated at home after 14 seasons and 13 games !
Also a nice little record !

And after telling it here, I am sure next season I will have the first playoff home loss Wink

Well Season 14 was quite a strange year with so many away wins in the playoffs.

I think a lot of teams are catching up with the 'big boys', eg Ohio have taken the next step, Mexico and Sacramento are close in the AFC and in the EFC Paris are close and Berlin did have a down year but they have a talented squad.

Can Frankfurt become the first team to win 3 in a row ?!

Oh no Paul, you should not have said that :-(

Now I will certainly not win Wink

Like the NFL games on TV. Whenever they give info
like this QB has no INT this season, the next throw is a INT

Thats very true about QB's throwing interceptions or 'this back never fumbles' !

Well considering how tough the EFC was this year with powerhouses such as Amsterdam/Austria and London you've done a great job.  I thought if Austria were more consistent last year they would have won it all and despite your win i would say Austria are favourites next year.  London are in with a shout as they have a good team but all those fumbles, damn.  If they could cut those down by at least half they would win many more games.

I think Amsterdam are a dark horse, very good team all round, if they had HB Huerta for most of the year instead of being injured they could have possibly won the EFC East.  Those last second comeback wins you had were crucial in the end.

Berlin of course could bounce back, they had a tough year, after Black went down they had no RB.  Paris are an interesting team, good all round team, perhaps a change at QB needed.  Pennkki is like Trent Dilfer, doesnt win games by himself but he does win.

Should be a great Season 15 i hope

Congratulations, Marco.
You are the best even if you did not have FWLs best team this season....

Congratulations, Ross.
Must feel great to have kicked out all those AFC-favourites....

To the discussions:

1) NO this was NOT a close game as Frankfurt was stopped once by an interception and once by a fumble near Ohios red zone. Could have gone worse for Ohio.
2) Read my lips: "NO, Frankfurt willo not three-peat."
3) Frankfurts win only proves EFCs current domination over the AFC - see the other post i wrote in the "alltime"thread including head-to-ghead comparison.... Maybe i could have gone 14-0 in the bubble-bursting-AFC?  Grin Grin Grin

Well the way the final went was a little disappointing but had you offered me a conference championship at the start of the season I would have taken without question.

Exactly

The final was disappointing but like you say if someone said you would be AFC Champions at the beginning of the year i'm sure you would have said yes to that.

You've got a very good balanced team, Robertson is one of the main reasons why Ohio took that step further this year and also the trade for Pawlawski i think was one of the best trades in years.
