Right now 4 playoff spots are decided:
AFC: NY and Montreal
EFC: Amsterdam and Austria

These are (most likely in the case of AUS) the division winners and usually they have a far better chance to play in the Bowl then the Wild Card teams. So I limit this poll to the 4 possible combinations of these top teams of the league.

Cant wait till the playoffs, should be good.  Can NY finally get that monkey off their back and reach the FWL Bowl ?  Will the great playoff team Montreal make it to another final ?  Will Amsterdam reach the FWL Bowl ?  Have we seen the last of Frankfurt or Ohio or can they make it ?  Can Birmingham with their injuries clinch a spot ?  Will the erractic Riders make it ?

Well 9 out of 10 times the #1 seed advanced to the Championship game, 5 out of 10 times the FWL Bowl.  What isnt shown are the scores which in the case of Championship games are very very close.

Only last year neither top seed advanced to the FWL Bowl in the last 5 seasons.

i was talking about the fact that only 3 times out of 10 such teams made it all the way.....

first if you put the american and the european #1 together, so the highest possible is 5 times out of 10! so looking at the way you look 3 out of 10 is not a bad idea.

looking at stat what the possibilities are to be in the bowl is 5 out of 10. but you have then still look at the american and the european teams to see what your possibilities are according to the last 5 years:

American 2 out of 5
European 3 out of 5

then teh funny detail is that the american teams won everytime when they made it to the bowl and the european teams only 1 out of three

so I have 60% possibility to make it to the bowl and if then I only have a 33.33% that I will win it, so according to the stats of the last 5 years I have a 20% to win the bowl

American: 40% to make it and when they make it and if they will win it. so total possibilty by stats for NY is 40%

but a 5 years period is to short to do thsi kind of calculations, I think you can only start doing it on a period of atleast 20 years.

So only 2 out of 14 seasons has a top ranked team in either conference failed to reach the FWL Bowl !
