Congratulations to.... Jose Cortez, as he is somehow the all-time single season leader in FG percentage.  He also was 6/7 from 40-49 and 2/2 from 50+

Highest Field Goal Percentage, Season, Qualifiers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 95.83 - Jose Cortez, Montreal, 2011, (24-23)
 90.91 - Robert Grant, Scottish, 2006, (22-20)

Its amazing the turnaround with Cortez. For a few seasons he seemed a very poor kicker, this year hes hit several long game winners and did the same again this week, his FG percentage this year is incredible.

I'm stunned how hes turned his career around, the best kicker along with Todd France in the league

I know it was against me, I knew it was his first miss of the season, I just did not realize it would be his only miss of the season. Knowing now that I lost that game and it was his only miss of the season, it is a pitty he did not made that one as well

Hey someone has to list out Cortez's career stats

I remember David benched him in the playoffs a few years back but the great veteran kicker Damon Fox (or was it Kendall Trainor) was signed and had a nightmare game.

Yeah i think youre right, its a pity as Trainor could have had a great finale but he was poor in the playoffs and Cortez got his job back.

I was sad to leave David Akers in Sacramento as he was one of my favourite players, had him since he was drafted.  5th leading scorer of all time and should easily top 1000 points for his career.  Axel Kruse is done in Orlando as he was cut, Cortez as the 10th leading scorer ever has also a great chance to be one of the best all time.

Not bad for a former 5th round pick by Montreal.

Great draft that year for Montreal ... ( http://www.fwl.org.uk/drafteos6.htm )

2) TE Rod Monroe
4) HB Pace Burpee
5) C Martin Grizitka
5) K Jose Cortez
7) FB Ricky Brown

Forget trades etc, drafts like this are what makes teams become dominant ones.
