All-FWL teams and Season Awards

The All-FWL teams are now online and the awards
As normal the computer put many EFC players on AFC rosters and vica versa. Also the computer has a habit of putting C2's on the All Pro team for either side ! I've had to do some choices myself, eg for a centre i then look at the top rushing team and choose the C1 from that team.
Its a shame the computer messes up a lot of the positions, there are some surprises. Eg WR Sean Morey from Scotland, that surprised me a ton but then again the computer keeps 'points' for each player throughout the season and Morey considering hes on a team which doesnt have a great passing offense he had a great year considering his #2 WR didnt do much. eg the Claymores had the 14th best passing attack and the WR2 of Scotland had just 451 yards so to me Morey had a fine season as he was the lone WR for Scotland. Like i say the computer keeps 'points' for players all season long so Morey must have impressed the computer enough all year long.
I know theres controversial picks, i've always used the computer selections from day 1 of the league, if there are wrong players, (eg AFC on an EFC roster) then i make the changes but 90% are the computers choice

Stambaugh is undisputed.
Terriffic stats.
I do not really see Anes in the EFC-Team. He has got a good rating, yes. but he has got 8(!) Interceptions as well..... Surprised that G Dorenboos did not make it, he is probably one of the top5-OL in the entire league....
P.S.:
WOW! I got 3 of 4 starting DBs in the EFC-Team!!!!!

well I must admit I am surprised DE Ekiyor is devensive MVP Europe as well it is funny to see that my team has the best rushing and passing defence of the league and only two defensive players made it in the team, but I think that is due to the fact that me defense has been on the field only 27:34 avg per game.
about Anes, his QB rating is the highest of all European QB's so I think his number of TD's and compl rate compensate his number of Interception.

Well i'm unsure about Dorenbos, was he traded from Raleigh ? Perhaps he didnt play enough games, benching players and swapping players positions messes things up you see. Eg Aska wasnt really a FB but because he had so many All Pro votes he made the team. Same with offensive linemen
At the end of the day Anes was the 3rd rated QB in the league, best in the EFC, had a good completion percentage and threw a lot of touchdowns. Fair few ints but that didnt affect his rating much.
As for Ekiyor i was very surprised, he narrowly beat S Shawn Mayer as that was very close for the title. For me Ekiyor didnt have 20 sacks or that but he was one of the main players in the top ranked defense, okay he didnt have 15 sacks but he probably helped open it up for other players. The run defense of Amsterdam this year was amazing, sometimes like the NFL a player may be double teamed and might not get 15 sacks but has a huge solid year and opens it up for other players.
Strange there werent more Admirals (Todd Franz just missed out) but its like the Cowboys top ranked defense of 1992 when they won the Superbowl, no All Pro players but as a unit they were superb. Same with Amsterdam i would say.

Just a note that the title on this reads 'Season 13' All-Pro Selections...also, I think both special teams players (K Cortez and P LaFleur) are both Machine players.
Thanks,

I agree, my team does not have really stars, almost every game a different player was the best.
Funny is that it is Ekiyor's second devensive MVP title. that is a team record, well so far he is the only devensive MVP we ever had

Well the truth was the computer had for the AFC Emil Ekiyor as Defensive Player of the Year and Shawn Mayer for EFC
Obviously somethings not quite right ! In this instance i gave it to Eikiyor in the EFC as Amsterdam had such a dominating defense. For the AFC I chose Josiah as he led the league in sacks. I dont want to get people moaning about who was in / not in as doing the list is difficult to do.

Hes actually had a great career so far...
Season 12 - 81t 2 ints (2nd on team with tackles)
Season 13 - 102t (best on team)
Season 14 - 77t (2nd best on team)
Season 15 - 95t (best on team), 2 ints, 2 sacks
Excellent 4 year career, if he carries on like that he'll be one of the top 5 tacklers of all time

What is the most All FWL Teams anyone has been on in a row? Ligarius Jennings is at 3 now.
He has a pretty Impressive number of tackles too, 664 in his 8 seasons so far, If he can put up around 90-100 for the next 3 seasons he should be the all time leader.

Not sure but my bet is former CB Jason Wallace...
http://www.fwl.org.uk/alltime.htm#jwallace
TE Randy Bethel went to 5 in a row...
http://www.fwl.org.uk/alltime.htm#rbethel
Jennings doesnt seem to have the greatest speed but still makes a ton of tackles (Granted some bad players will make a ton of tackles because theyre so bad as teams run at them) but in Jennings case as hes All-FWL so often it must mean the computer thinks highly of him.

I think that S Mayer is Austria's - there are two S Mayers in the league. Paris's only got 30 tackles, I think.

It says Paris after the name. I double checked before posting as I knew there was another

Yeah i'm bad at not changing duplicate names, i changed the Paris Mayer to that name so that theres a difference and we know hes the Mayer in the Paris stats of the past. If i changed him to say Smith then all the previous seasons and other stats would still say Mayer

TOP-Promotion of the season:
DT Lauvale Sape:
He was a 7th(!) round pick by NY in season#10, was picked up cheaply by Austria in season#12 in exchange for a picked-up FA (which made a career himself, now serving as HB2 of NY!), was backup there before he was promoted to DT2 and DT1 and now was promoted to the ALL-EFC-Team just 3 seasons after.
Great!!!!

I would not mind if you make my Shawn to a Chad.

Well with some players its worth keeping them on your roster, putting them through a few training camps and getting them to a good level. I've done the same thing in another league i play in, sign young FA's, 3 training camps later i can trade them or have valuable young backups/starters.
Sape had a great season, helped that Sweeney went.
