Note - this is just a bit of fun and i'm not right so its just one persons view just like any other draft review....

GREAT PICKS

Last month DE Earl Cochran was being mentioned as a top 3 pick and possibly first overall.  Cochran slipped all the way down to 11th where the Skyhawks glady snapped him up.

Scotland drafted the best OL in the draft, G Carl-Johan Blomvall will be an instant starter for the Claymores, exactly what you want from your top pick.

WR Skyler Fulton was being mentioned as a top 5 pick, the talented WR fell all the way to Amsterdam at 16th who glady snapped him up.

A great pick was by Orlando.  They didnt draft a 1st round QB !!! Wink

Barcelona could have gone for a big name exciting player for the fans but did the right thing and drafted DT Ja'Warren Blair who will help shore up their weak d-line, good pick.

BAD PICKS

New York fans will be nervous as their rookie coach signs WR Christopher Gasperson with their top pick in the 2nd round.  Gasperson wasnt highly regarded by many scouts and was being mentioned as a 4th rounder.

Why did the Monarchs draft highly regarded K Tyler Jones when they already had 2 kickers on their roster including the very similar skilled Seth Marler.

PRESSURE IS ON

Berlin legend WR Vance Blundin retires, they now draft WR Ricky Bryant 5th overall.  Bryant is expected to see a lot of action for the Thunder.

Drew Henson - The Monarchs already had talented young BJ Symons in the fold so why draft Henson ?  It appears Henson will get the start in Week 1 so Symons may be on his way.

The Aztecs defense better start playing.  Out of the last 4 drafts they had 5 first round picks who are defensive players, two safeties, a CB and two LB's.  This young unit has to get it together

GREAT LATER PICKS

Rhein struck gold with QB Jared Allen.  Allen rated the #2 QB in the draft by many scouts fell all the way to Rhein later in the 2nd round.  Allen is so good he should be the backup this year and could even start a game or two.  Future looks good for the Fire.

In the 3rd round NY drafted TE Kori Dickenson.  Dickenson could start for the Knights this year if he has a great training camp

TELL ME WHY

With a large number of DB's already on the roster (10 !!!) why did Paris then draft two straight CB's in the second round ?  Both of which probably wont start this year.  The team had 10 DB's so drafted 2 CB's yet had just 3 WR's and drafted just one more ?!

Birmingham yet again drafted another secondary player !  In 3 of the last 4 drafts they picked a CB/S with their number 1 pick.  This unit better play well this year with all that high priced talent ! S Matt Clark was as surprise 1st round pick, with his low ST Clark may be better off as a CB rather than a 'hard hitting' safety.

NEEDS WORK

QB Brock Berlin was drafted by the Thunder in Round 4.  Berlin needs more intelligence but that should come with a few camps, has other excellent skills and could develop into a fine player.

Montreal GM David Harwood admitted 3rd rounder WR Nate Curry will need some work.  Curry has blazing speed but his hands need a lot of work.  If he improves his hands then with his speed he could develop into a good WR.

BEST PICK ?

Either Scotlands choice of G Blomvall or Raleighs DE Earl Cochran

Most teams in the League have 10 D.B's Montreal have 11 so what's wrong with starting with 12? They won't start this year but Pass D wasn't really a problem so they don't need to. Obviously won't be going into the season with all 12

Mick:
But in fact (in MY personal opinion) you did not even choose the best ones  - that is the problem here.....

Another strange fact:

rounds 5-8 feature 4*18=72 picks but there are only 13 unfilled roster-spots! That is going to be an NFL-like battle for contracts out there in the FWL-jungle....
 Shocked

They are now (website not updated)

I signed the top players the other day for all teams but must have missed a few out.  Normally the GM's send me an email telling me who to cut/sign but i often go ahead and sign up the top players for everyone.
