Columbus Ohio - Despite many fans wanting to see mass changes and a flurry of trades, Columbus has stayed the course with their team plan.  "It is my first year in the FWL and I need to learn a lot in order to compete with the veteran GM/Owners of this league.", Glory GM Schofield stated.  "In order to limit the mistakes and avoid putting our club in a desperate situation we have chosen to be very careful in our roster decisions.  However, we have made what we feel are some very aggressive and intelligent moves that should make us competitive right away without sacrificing our future."

The Glory have made several moves and a few more are in the works, including free agency after week 1.  Some of the highlights this off season are:

1.  Complete restructure of the Offensive Line:
Trade for FWL veteran OT Rob Murphy - Murphy will become the offensive captain as the club believes his FWL playoff and championship ring will speak volumes and set the tone for a winning attitude.
The Draft -OG Rob Hunt(1st) and OT Mike Johnson (4th) will build depth and youth.
Positional changes to maximize potentials - Noted move of Dion Meredith from G to T to take advantage of his speed in order to protect the QB

2.  Trade for TE Yoan Schnee - Provides GREAT depth at the vital TE slot where Mike Pawlaski had most of his success in the past

3.  Trade for speedy WR Richard Alston - Ohio was able to pick up the break away threat that has limited the passing game success over the last couple of years (also a 3rd round draft pick of Kyle Smith WR to build on a young group of potential offensive threats)

4.  Solidify the interior D-Line - Trading for Cedrick Scott and Jeff Hazuga provides immediate power and athleticism in the middle as Scott will be shifted from DE to DT.  Former starters Sluder and the young Scharff will now provide great depth for the club.

5.  Limit losses in trades/free agency - Losing Drew Whalroos was a big hit for the LB corps but the Glory managed to add veteran LB Mike Megna to the team who will become the defensive captain of the club due to his playoff experience, furthering the change in culture around this team.

6.  Free Agency will potentially add a third string HB and further trading is in the works for secondary improvements.

Looking at the large roster depth chart board, Schofield stated "If we can stay healthy, we should make some noise.  We had a great base to build off of and I salute the former ownership for getting us on the right track.  Our goal is simple:  Return to Glory!"
