London lose their first game

LONDON LOSE TO AUSTRIA
It was a tough game to lose, the Monarchs felt the 'lost' the game rather than Austria win it. After knocking Curt Anes from the game young Matt Mauck was struggling against the top ranked defense of London. However after an amazing interception by DE Greg White it set up the go ahead touchdown by Austria. London played poorly with no rushing on the ground and only 3 sacks, that by DT Nick Burley.
MARK WORD TO GET DEMOTED ?
Two straight weeks Word hasnt been involved, 0 tackles and 0 sacks. The defense is still ranked 1st so Word must be doing something right but the team need production from him. DT Jake Sparks who has played well the last few weeks will get demoted to DT3, Junior Ioane who has played DT and DE this year moves back to DT2 to partner Burley and at DE2 Eric Powell who has great speed and potential gets one final chance to prove he can do something opposite Word.
LEADING TACKLER OUT
CB Devon Harper who had 61 tackles in 11 games this year to lead London was injured last week and will miss the rest of the regular season. It is hoped Harper will be back for the first playoff game but its still not 100%. In his place Marcell Allmond played very well and had an interception as he now moves up to CB2. Former Galaxy veteran Dempsy Dees moves up to CB3 to give the team some veteran leadership.
HALL SLIPS DOWN AGAIN
After his first 100 yard game of the season recently it looked like Joe Hall had turned a corner, however he had a nightmare game against Austria with 11 yards, 10 yards on one carry as London couldnt move the ball at all. Hall has gained 700 yards for the second straight season but his average has been dire , below 3.0 yards. If Hall doesnt improve look for London to make a major trade for a new HB.
PRINCE BACK AT TE
Despite a great year by Jeff Nicolson, the lanky small TE has made a name for himself grabbing clutch passes and has a great average this year however his blocking is very poor and in an effort to upgrade the rushing attack, Ryan Prince will move to TE1 and Nicolson to TE2. Both TE's however will be active to try and help out the rushing attack. Nicholson might become the sole TE later in the year but the Monarchs want to see this week if both TE's playing with Prince starting due to his superior strength will help out the rushing game.

Mission completed
*phew*
I was shocked by Maucks "performance" and i am actually lucky that Anes will be back in the POs. Still think Amsterdam will be too much to handle for me on the road.... but we will see...
i will switch to backups the rest of the regular season as i got nothing to lose...
HEY:
With this win and Frankfurts loss i currently (finally?) climbed to the top:

Well it was the first ever real action for Mauck, he was playing against the top defense in the league so i think a weeks practice with the first team he should do okay. But a loss for Anes but like you say if you get him back for the playoffs its not that bad. Mauck did make some big throws however late in the game.
Not too worried by the loss, i didnt play well though, HB Hall is erractic, DE Word has disappeared but i made mistakes which London havent normally made. The big game for me however is Amsterdam as the top seed is what i want, away in the playoffs is always tough.
If i lose to Amsterdam it looks like we'll meet again in the playoffs, this time in London !
