Mexico at Montreal
Mexico actually defeated Montreal this year but that was at home. Montreal at home this year however are 8-0 ! The tough Mexico defense totally shut down the Ohio rushing attack and chased QB Mike Pawlawski around all day. On offense HB Eric McCoo had nearly 150 yards rushing/receiving and QB JT O'Sullivan despite nursing a slight injury had an alright day but did throw two interceptions.
Mexico should shut down the Montreal rushing attack as Raleigh did but that might not matter if HB Corey Walker features in the passing attack as he did this week. Walker had an amazing game with some great blocks and some great long runs on receptions.
Danny Wuerrfel had one of his best every games as a pro and the wiley old veteran is still looking for yet another FWL Bowl appearance. Mexico have a great defense and their offense has played well, they could possibly shut down Montreal but the Machine are excellent at home. Should be a very close game, Montreal should edge this but Mexico are no pushovers and have won just one less game than Montreal this year.

EFC Championship
Austria at Amsterdam
Austria and Amsterdam have had some classic playoff fights the last three years. In 2010 they lost to Austria in one of the toughest playoff losses ever and then in 2011 they lost to Austria in the EFC Championship in a heartbreaker as Admiral fans thought they were going all the way. Last year they avenged the defeats by knocking reigning champs Austria out of the playoffs but the Admirals lost in the EFC Championship to Scotland. Two EFC Championship losses in the last 3 years have hurt their fans badly.
Austria have been a darkhorse this year, QB Curt Anes was leading the league in touchdowns before being rested for the final 3 games. Austria played a great game against old foes London and won a great game away. Amsterdam might be in a different class though, in Week 14 they played their game of the season beating London to get the EFC top seed. Last week was a tough overtime win against Scotland who were the reigning champs but Amsterdam just edged past the Claymores.
Both teams are excellent throughout and the 4th playoff clash in 5 years is the FWL's equivalent to the Patriots/Colts or Cowboys/Niners in the NFL playoffs. Austria lost to Amsterdam earlier this season away but the team seem to playing much better now.
Amsterdam have a real chance to get to the FWL Bowl and have homefield advantage which could be crucial. Their fans have been disappointed in recent weeks, this time Amsterdam need to go further.

I think:
Montreal will crush Mexico....
Austria will win by a FG....
