I've developed a new page on my database site which attempts to copy the NFL's weekly results page. Take a look at

http://www.battyeweb.org.uk/fwl/nflweek.php?year=18&week=1

and let me know what you think. Anyone who can edit Sacramento's helmet so the right-facing helmet logo is correct will receive a free bun!

Edit - Yeuch!! Just looked at the page in Internet Explorer - something's going wrong with the font-sizes. That didn't happen in Firefox, honest!

That is GREAT Andrew....very nice work!!

The Surge helmet on the Owners page is right-facing, with the logo correct.  Or even the one I use here on the FWL Forum as my profile pic...i just copied it.

Cheers,
TC

I wish i had time to do a small recap of each game like you have on the NFL page.  I do a few lines on each game but to do a full writeup for each game sadly dont have the time

Great great work, Andrew...

But just like you say: the fonts explode on the starting-page.... hope you can correct that

yeah i noticed that and had to smile because you either could remember (which i doubt) or you just had pure luck picking the "right" name:

Looooooong time ago when i was writing articles about my team (i even had a ADK-homepage) the ADK-Stadium was named "Kreiner-Dome", after the legendary GM and Coach of the DarkKnights, who is not only a role-model, superhero, incredibly smart and extremly good looking guy, but also an icon of the ADK-movement which is teh leading force in the world of football......

I did remember you naming your "stadium" in honour of yourself! I guess the only alternative would be to name after the only Austrian most people have heard of - Arnold Schwarzenegger! There is another Austrian who has had a major impact on world history, but I won't mention him!

IN FACT Austrias 2nd largest soccer-stadium WAS named after Schwarzenegger until recently, BUT it was re-named due to his strict death-penalty-policy which raises heavy criticism over here.....

Anyway:
Over here in Austria we still don“t understand how an underperforming muscle-man-actor can get so far in the US of A. Most of us are far from beeing "proud" about him, we are just astonished... Anyway: He is promoting environmental issues and is promoting special olympics so these are at least two very good things he is engaged in.
Go Arnie go.....

Well boys it just goes to show how little I get out these days when I feel that I just have to mention that all of the following are well known Austrians .... now while I personally think this is surprisingly interesting ,in that we dont normally think they are Austrian,
I do fully realise that my level of geekness here leaves me open to freefall mocking...so for your enjoyment Kreiner Dome could have been named after....

Oscar Schindler
Sigmund Freud
Billy Wilder
Fred Zinnemann
Joseph Haydn, composer
Michael Haydn
Gustav Mahler,
Mozart,
Schubert, composer and musician
Johann Strauss, Sr., composer
Johann Strauss, Jr., composer
Josef Strauss,
Niki Lauda,
Ferdinand Porsche,
Gerhard Berger,
Max Reinhardt

yep, and nobody wants to talk about that "one person" with probably the worlds best known name and the worlds worst record of cruelty.....

"He" was an Austrian and actually wanted to become a painter before he failed the initial exam at the university and turned to politics.......  Embarrassed

Aha, Ronnie, not so fast. As my late father also told me, Mozart was not Austrian. He (Mozart, not my dad) was born in Salzburg whilst it was an independent city state and so was not part of Austria. My dad was a great fan of facts like that - he liked his music as well, so much so, he was on Mastermind (once-popular UK high-brow quiz programme) answering questions on Gustav Mahler a few years ago!

Anyway, does anyone know how to get Internet Explorer to stop making the font sizes massive using CSS? The same page looks fine in Firefox and Opera.
