NEW STARTING QB IN OHIO

After having a poor start to the season (next to last in QB rating) Ohio QB Mike Pawlawski has been benched and John Navarre will start Week 3.  Pawlawski who threw just 2 interceptions in the whole of last season has thrown 3 in two games and is the lowest rated QB in the league.

OLSEN GETTING GREAT EXPERIENCE

Sacramento might be 0-2 but QB Drew Olsen is playing very well and leads the league in touchdown passes with 4 after two weeks. Hes had no help from his rushing attack though and has been sacked 11 times (2nd worst in the league)

RAGONE STILL WAITING

QB Dave Ragone is already a hero in Rhein after leading his team to an upset win over Frankfurt but despite the win Ragone is still waiting to throw his first touchdown pass in Rhein colours.  In two games so far Ragone has thrown 1 interception and 0 td's !!  Another QB still waiting to throw a td is Amsterdams BJ Symons who has none.

MCCULLOUGH OFF TO A FAST START

On paper under Austrian GM Mario Kreiner, HB Sultan McCullough looked great but never played that well. Backup HB Jermaine Allen Jnr came in last year when McCullough was out injured and was sensational and looked to have the job this year.  However a great camp by McCullough gave him the starting position and GM Jason Comptons trust in McCullough has paid off, in two games McCullough has 256 yards rushing (6.1 avg) and 4 td's and Austria are 2-0.

LESUER GETS HIS INTERCEPTION

An interception in Week 2 for London CB Jeremy LeSuer now gives him an interception in each of his 5 FWL seasons.  The record is 6 consecutive seasons with an interception by legend CB Jason Wallace. LeSuer also moves into joint 4th place in the all time records with 13 interceptions, Wallace has the record with 16.  However LeSuer is just in his 5th season and has a great chance to break the record.

COME BACK KASTLE !

The Frankfurt Galaxy were driving downfield and were getting in range for a chipshot FG, on came young Justin Medlock who then pushed a 23 yard FG wide with 3:48 left against Rhein in a 13-13 ball game.  Rhein then moved downfield and kicked the winning FG, Medlock might be running out of chances.  Frankfurt basically forced Erik Kastle to retire by releasing him before the retirement period and Kastle did indeed retire.  However the Galaxy now might be looking at new kickers.  In Week 1 Medlock missed a 37 yard FG which would have tied the game late in the 4Q but luckily had another chance and hit a FG to force overtime.  However after this miss the fans are turning on Medlock and are booing at every opportunity.
