London Monarchs GM

Austria 5-0 at Sacramento 3-2

The Surge were stunned last week when young runner BJ Askew was injured and gone for the year.  They are trying to line up a replacement but it may be too late so in that case it is still unknown which Surge runner will start at HB1.  The DarkKnights won in London last week but their conservative offense wasnt to GM Mario Kreiners liking. Will the return to their explosive bombs away offense ?  Austria should come away with an away win here as the Surge appear to be in trouble.

Austria by 10

Ohio 2-3 at San Antonio 4-1

Could be a close game here, Ohio are playing very well and have won their last two games, San Antonio however are also on a roll after beating Montreal in their best game yet and will be hoping for another important AFC result here.

San Antonio by 7

Mexico 3-2 at Montreal 4-1

Montreal lost their first game of the season and are still having a nightmare at HB, veteran Jason Miller-Lopez looks sure to get the start this week against a tough young Mexico side.  Aztecs QB JT O'Sullivan had his best game last week with 4 td's and hopes to carry on the display here against a fierce Montreal defense.  Mexico stand a chance with Montreals injuries but playing in Canada is a tough place to play

Montreal by 7

Raleigh-Durham 1-4 at Frankfurt 2-3

Crazy in the EFC East all teams are 2-3 !  Frankfurt were stunned last week by Berlin and might take out their aggression on Raleigh.  Frankfurts passing attack doesnt seem the same since Thabiti Davis was cut and Rohan Davey has to get back to his old form.  5 td's and 4 ints in 5 games isnt very good at all.  Even so Frankfurt should walk this one

Frankfurt by 10

Amsterdam 2-3 at Rhein 2-3

Huge game for both sides, Amsterdam have the most talent but have disappointed this year.  It looks like QB Heath Rylance could return to the starting role as Joe Hamilton has lost his last two games.  Rhein did look brilliant early on but have slowly lost game after game and need to bounce back.  The loss of HB Jeronimo Huerta is huge to Amsterdam and unless they find a rushing attack with a backup it could be tough until Huerta returns

Rhein by 1

Berlin 2-3 at Paris 2-3

Could be an exciting game here, one team who started 0-3 will win their 3rd straight game to get back into the playoff chase.  Paris had their best game of the season last week in a great win over Orlando, Berlin have won their last two games on late late touchdowns, could they do it again ?  Who knows who will win here, Petrus Penkki is 2-0 as a starter this year and hopes to win his 3rd straight.

http://Orlando 2-3 at Scottish 0-5

Scotland have played some very exciting football lately but have lost two shootouts in the last two weeks, since HB Ken Shelby returned to the lineup and WR Olaf Fischer has joined WR Ruvell Martin the Claymores offense has been great.  If the defense could step it up a notch they should win some ball games.  For Orlando QB Tony Romo is playing well but as in past seasons after a hot start his team starts to lose.  Time for Jon Denton ?  With RB injuries for Orlando it might be tough to win on the road even against winless Scotland.

Birmingham 0-5 at London 3-2

London have slipped recently with 2 straight defeats but both games were very close and they could have come away with wins instead.  The team are still playing well, the fans still want Payton as their starting HB but so far he is being brought along slowly by GM Jason Compton and Payton is a great goalline back.  However he could put up great numbers if he started.  For Birmingham it was time to switch QB's and David Ward gets the nod . It will be a tough first game for Ward away from home as London have looked great this year.

New York 5-0 at Barcelona 3-2

New York have had the best 5-0 start of any team ever in the league, they have won each game with ease and the Dragons should be scared.  Barcelona have played well this year and the change at HB has actually helped the team.  New York will have a slight advantage being away from home but they should still be too much for the Dragons and New York at the moment look clear favourites for FWL Bowl XIV.

Austria 5-0 at Sacramento 3-2
If SAC does not get a good HB out of their hat it should be a rather one-sided affair as their offense would be forced to pass a lot and would face EFCs top passing-defense. ADK was far from beeing convincing last week against arch-rivals London, but should get a win

Ohio 2-3 at San Antonio 4-1
Ohio recovered but they still have the burden of playing in the best division there is. The Riders are good, but they have to be careful. Might be closer than we all think....
San Antonio by 3

Mexico 3-2 at Montreal 4-1
Mexico is playing some good football out there and Montreal has to play its 3rd string HB. But even with that: They are among the top-three teams of the league!
Montreal by 3

Raleigh-Durham 1-4 at Frankfurt 2-3
Galaxy who??? What ever happened to that team? Nevertheless: A win at home against the shaky Skyhawks is a MUST. Everything else would be a desaster and the mob would start calling for the GMs head....
Fra by 7

Amsterdam 2-3 at Rhein 2-3
Tough tough tough...... One of the Games of the week.
Rhein by 3 in OT

Berlin 2-3 at Paris 2-3
Even tougher. I would go for Berlin as "historically" they are the stronger team BUT taht does not count when the ball is kicked off.....
Berlin by 3

Orlando 2-3 at Scottish 0-5
Scottland has a devastating season behind and ahead. Really shocking losses but also thight ones. Orllando is a bit underestimated and is still fighting for the playoffs if they win. And they will.
Orlando by 10

Birmingham 0-5 at London 3-2
Everyone would go for the Fire? Well: Not me! Londons performance is going down bit by bit and their kicker (whomever they will start) will shank one or two crucial FGs again....
Birmingham by 5

New York 5-0 at Barcelona 3-2

Austria 5-0 at Sacramento 3-2
I thought it would come easier than this. Disappointing offense. Good luck that SACs offense was not able to crack my D. Could have gone the other way as well..... Another lucky win for Austria

Ohio 2-3 at San Antonio 4-1
I read this game play-play and i must say i STILL rate Ohio as a top-team. Well almost top. Could beat anyone anytime.

Mexico 3-2 at Montreal 4-1
Playing a 3rd-stringer at HB hurts but Smith hat a 3,6yds-avg, somthing an Austrian RB can dream off. Even without the RBs i thought thatn Montreal would be stronger.

Raleigh-Durham 1-4 at Frankfurt 2-3
I predict the Galaxy will win the EFC. Point.

Amsterdam 2-3 at Rhein 2-3
The close game was predicted. Could have come out both sides. Both teams are strong but lack "something special". The win might have given Amsterdam the edge regarding playoffs?

Berlin 2-3 at Paris 2-3
Almost the same, i am surprised by the poor Berlin-play week in week out. Paris is not especially strong so the loss might hurt for the Thunder. Paris is back in the EFC-race....

Orlando 2-3 at Scottish 0-5
BANG! Surprise of the week for me. My friend Ronnie finally has a win. i predict it was his last. Orlanda was a potentially top-team for me. But now nevermore....

Birmingham 0-5 at London 3-2
Oh. my. god. Birmingham is falling apart. The Monarchs on the other side seem comfortable with a possible PO-spot.....

New York 5-0 at Barcelona 3-2
outch!!!
I predicted 21, it ended up "just" with 21...... i am so glad that i do not have to face NY....... i would beg for mercy if i had to......

...ahhhh, yeah.... us too.  However, I also thought Austria would be less-luckier.

Well, luck comes and goes. Right now the coin is always flipping on the "dark" side.... I don´t mind as much if i start to lose the same way and i defenitely will.....

On the other hand:
To stop the opponents offense in crucial "last-drive-situations" 4 out of 4 times might also have something to do with team effort and individual skills, especially of DBs. And i think i did a good job putting together a very competitive unit (even regarding that drafting Mayer was luck....)

But to be honest:
Basically it was a lot of luck to survive this. SAC was at my 15yd line with enough time left when Ishida picked up Boumans ball - it really could have gone the other way......

But i cannot complain so far, hay  Grin Grin Grin
