no, i just wanted my article to stay on top of the list in order not to be forgotten.

in fact i know the truth:

Montreal will go down at home in week 14, losing the divisional title to SAC

Orlando will beat NY at home in week 14, clinching the divisional title
Berlin will come short as regards playoff spots

i just found out that if
1) Both NY and ORL win in week 13 and
2) ORL beats NY in week 14......

a) the head-to-head would be 1-1 (tie)....
b) the division-games of both would be 4-2 (tie).....
c) the converence-games of both would be 6-6- (tie)....

.........so what would be next?

and before that it is (if I am correct) the nett point difference:

New York won the first game with 20-13
so if Orlando beats NY with a less differnce of 6 points NY goes to the playoffs, if it is more then 7 points Orlando goes if it is with 7 points and the score is 20-13 it will be a coin toss (I think) if it is (with 7 point differnce) 19-12 or lower New York goes, if it is (7 pints differnce) 21-14 orlando goes.

But at the end ProFootball decide who goes to the play offs

just like in real am.football the head-to-head SCORE does NOT come into play. if A beats B 99-0 and B beats A 21-20 that still means they both have 1 win each.

scores might come into play at a very low stage but basically it does not mean nothing. according to NFL rules the tiebreaking rules of 2 games are follows (but i do n ot think if that applies to FWL - that is why i was asking):

Two Clubs
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.
7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9. Best net points in common games.
10. Best net points in all games.
11. Best net touchdowns in all games.

The head by head scores is one of the rules in a tie in NFLE rules, that is why I based it on, next point is that the schedules of all teams are almost the same every year. Amsterdam never played against New York, Birmingham. so strength of schedule I doubt is this version of ProFootball, but I think the best person that can give an answer would be paul.

so what? In the post there are guesses.
Niki: FWL is based on FBPro96 and that is - as far as i know and at some point in the far past i played it - defenitely based on NFL rules. This program neither knows a 4pt-FG or NFLE tiebreaking rules. Head-to-head-scoring is of no interest here.

Guys, can any FBPRO-Expert help me out?

To be more correct the FWL is based on ProFootball 97. but further to the head to head score isn't that point 5 of the current NFL rules for a tie breaker.

I pointed out that head to head score was applicated in NFLE since you mentioned it was not an AF rule and so far I know the NFLE is an AF league

ok, point taken, of course i was thinking of NFL and College where these things are almost against the coaches code of conduct.

The basic rule is: "don´t embarrass your opponents" and there is nothing worse (esp in college) than poundering your underdog-opponent into the ground when he is already down and knocked out.
