Odd playcalling?

Why is Bishop spiking the ball here? Shouldn't the clock have stopped on this change of possession?
San Antonio's K1 #2 Jim Tarle kicks off. WR1 #85 Dane Looker recovers the
ball. Looker is tackled by Berlin's TE2 #87 Dwayne Blakley. First down, San
Antonio! First and 10 to go. That was Onside kick (1601) against Kickoff
(1599).
San Antonio's ball on Berlin's 48 yard line. First and 10 to go. :40 left
in the fourth quarter. The score is San Antonio 28, Berlin 30.
The pass from San Antonio's QB1 #7 Michael Bishop was incomplete. Second and
10 to go. That was Kill Clock (1594) against Berlin's Pass long (1592).

Very strange play that one ! Always wondered how it worked in FBPro as reading play by plays you never see when the computer calls timeout.
In my game against Sacramento there was a crazy call, Orlando led 14-7, ball on their own 38 yard line , 4:11 left in the first half and they go for it on 4th & 5 !!!
It was a fake punt run but either way why in the 2Q leading would you go for that ?

In general i hate it that we can not see when a team is taking a TO in the play by play!

Yeah its strange as apart from that the play by plays are very good
Sometimes you can tell when the computer calls a TO when late in the game after a pass the clock stops. I know sometimes the player might have gone out of bounds but i dont remember the computer being that clever !
Theres been a few famous times when they havent stopped the clock and lost some games, think something bizarre happened to Ohio a while back

new way to get a 1st down
Amsterdam's ball on their 25 yard line. First and 10 to go. 11:40 left in
the third quarter. The score is Rhein 14, Amsterdam 10.
The pass from Amsterdam's QB1 #16 Heath Rylance is caught by HB1 #24 Jeronimo
Huerta for a gain of just over 9 yards. Huerta fumbles the ball. The ball
is recovered by WR2 #84 Elijah Thurman. Thurman runs for a gain of almost 2
yards. Thurman is tackled by Rhein's S1 #28 Blue Adams. First down,
Amsterdam! First and 10 to go. That was Pass medium middle (90) against
Pass medium (86).

Actually a great play back and forth between two players:
(I hate razzle dazzle) :-(
Austria's ball on Frankfurt's 42 yard line. Third and less than 8 to go.
10:58 left in the first quarter. The score is Frankfurt 0, Austria 0.
Austria's QB1 #2 Curt Anes gives to HB1 #24 Marlion Jackson. Jackson gives
to Anes. The pass from Anes is caught by Jackson for a gain of just over 42
yards. Touchdown, Austria! That was Razzle dazzle pass (333) against
Frankfurt's zone audible from Pass medium (333).

The highlights worked for this game. Sometimes you click on highlights and get an error on XP and it crashes FBPro
Anyway looking at the highlights, the first long touchdown run from Jackson was a great play, Stills just missed making a tackle in the backfield, Jackson then paused and went left, and out ran the dline, LB's and finally secondary for the touchdown
On the weird razzle dazzle play...
Anes gives to Jackson who runs wide left, he could easily gain 10 yards on a run but then he throws a long ball back to Anes (its a long throw !) Anes catches it and 4 Galaxy players charge forward to try to tackle him , he instantly throws a long ball back to Jackson who is totally wide open by 10 yards for the touchdown. Quite wacky !

Mario, is there any chance that you tell me what gameplan you have used against me ?
Of course after the playoffs.
I am curious which gameplan uses that play

Sadly that took a while to do so i probably wont do that again unless its for the final. Its a pity theres not a quickier easier way of going it. As the software is so old it doesnt generate any good files, eg mpeg / avi etc so you have to do it by hand. Plus every weeks highlights get erased when you play a new week

I am also curious to your gameplan, evendo I am afraid we hae the same
but I don't think it is a good idea to discuss it, if you make it public you have to chance gameplan
But on the otherhand if Mario wnats to tell you that is not an issue/problem for the other GM's but just something between Mario and you

Unfortunately I have no running FBPro game since years, or I could find out myself ;-)

i would not like to tell.
only Paul knows and i would not want (him) to disclosure this. What i can say is that i tried 2 (or three?) gameplans this season.
Actually i am not very "in love" with my gameplan as my offense is playing some medicro football but as long as i am winning i won´t change it.
the trick-play is used very rarely and i am sure every plan has such a play. it is just a question of the situation you are in i suppose.
But hey, week 14 should be a good way to check out another gameplan. i will do this if paul has not yet shut down the doors for changes..... Nope, i´ll stick to mine..... otherwise i might make a mistake

Well every time i start it up it laughingly says at times i dont have enough memory on my brand new 2.8 mhz Pentium 4 PC ! It always runs but i have to click OK most of the time.
Its a pity about the highlights, i like looking at some of them but they often crash, thats why if the game of the week was 56-52 i normally would put a pic of that game on the main site, but if the highlights crash i then choose another game as i cant get a highlight.

I'm trying to remember what I did to get the game to run properly, and I've got the 97 version not 98...
I know you absolutely have to install the 1.03 Patch to make it work.
And rather than the memory problem Paul has I have the classic, "May not have enough Hard Disk Space"
Marco, review the Gameplan Guide and see which gameplans have a Razzle Dazzle Pass PLay. It has to be one of those. However as Paul doesn't publish the play names in the play by play we can't figure out exactly which play it is.

hm with 98 i was referring to windows 98, if I am correct version 97 was the last edition, but even that I am not sure about. I know that Paul use the 97 version.

There was a 98 version but it was really buggy and so died a death. 97 is the last working version.
