What a hell of a Playoff round:

ADK comes back from a 19pts deficit with his "B-Team" and wins with 17 sec left on the clock....
FRA survives a hugh game which also set an all-time fumbling-record for the league
Dominating NY is out! Silent Montreal is in!
Ohio defeatins SAN! WOW!

WHAT A WEEK!!!!!! Your thoughts?

For me personally it was one of the greatest wins ever in the history of my reign as GM of ADK. It was simply incredible how we came back and how we overcame injuries.

This game was such a thrill to read i had to be careful that i did not scream out here in office..... crazy crazy....
This win really makes me proud of my pixel-guys...

For me the season is "in the books", i do not expect anything more..... I postet that winning the first playoff-game since season #6 is my goal and i achieved it.

WHAT A VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Jason, i´d loved to meet you - feel sorry for you...... and Niki....)

Wouldnt say you had an entire 'b' team playing !  You had a backup HB who had action earlier in the season.  You always seem scared of playing P-1 guys who basically are okay.

I feel bad for London, cant work out why London fumbles so much.  In the highlights the game was in rain so that didnt help.  But Lytle fumbles tons and now Payton ? I hope that was just a one off game for Payton.  Imagine the rookie starting his first ever game at HB1 against the defending FWL Bowl Champions away from home in the rain.

Shocked at the Riders, they seemed a bit flat and Ohio played a brilliant game.

Feel sorry for NY, injuries hurt them this year (as they did other teams) but even thought Stambaugh/Brown were back because of their old injuries this year they didnt seem 100%.

Amsterdam were very unlucky with a very tough loss.  TE Ryan Prince being inches short on 3rd down was the difference there.  Reminds me of the Raiders/Patriots Snow Bowl, forget the 'fumble' and the tuck rule.  If on 3rd & 1 Zack Crockett got the first down then the Raiders would have ran out the clock late in the game.

Montreal down to their 3rd HB in the game and facing a 3rd & 14 then run a HB draw !  Rookie Smith gets the first down and they later tie the game and win it in OT

4 incredible games

My trade-gamble BIR/OH finally really payed off: Ohios pick will now be #15 in the worst case. I rather think even #16 as they have the worst record of the teams?

Regarding Amsterdam:
Well..... Wasting a 19pt lead with 21:38 minutes left to play in the game is not just "unlucky".....

Well its quite unlucky, punt returns dont happen often in a game, we had 3 in 14 weeks in the regular season.

4th down conversions are also lucky at times.  Its 50/50 on those plays.  Also Ryan Prince being inches short, if they had a first down then its game over.

To me thats a lot of hard luck but thats the way it goes in football

At the end of the day Mario your team was 13-1, just won their first playoff game and are one game away from the FWL Bowl yet you are still going on about your b and c team and sounding like a woman !  Every other team would love to be in your position, all teams have injuries, the best teams are the ones who dont go on about the injuries and just keep playing !

What happened to the confident Kreiner we used to know  ?  A few P-1 players and you are going on about losing your first playoff game, how you have your B or C team on the field etc etc.  Teams have been in the FWL Bowl with their 3rd string QB (Mexico), their backup QB (Frankfurt during one of their FWL Bowls) and other injuries.

Be a man Mario !  Wink

True this year we have had many more closer games but like i say, you are 2 games away from winning it all, you have a couple of P-1 injuries nothing major so enjoy !

David lost his starting HB for most of the year, then his backup HB and then in this weeks playoff game he lost his top two HB's again !

Adam lost his starting QB for New York when his team were looking so good.

London started their backup HB as their starter was out injured

Montreal have their leading LB at P-1 this week and two other P-1 injuries.  Frankfurt have their 3rd string WR and kickoff man out injured so i dont think you have it too bad.

Your only big loss is your WR but at least he was WR3 and not 1 or 2.

I think I may need to have a drink or three this evening to calm down. I really can't believe how the Glory Played.

From the first moment to the last they were after the Riders. To win even after turning the ball over too often, I am rather happy.

I am saying, with my mouth frothing like a madman, "I am disgusted by my loss in this stupid fucking game, I am irritated that I've been playing for 8+ years with not even a conference title to show for it, and perhaps I should go find some other hobby."

Hmmmmm.... i think i now understand....

To throw more dirt in your face and stump on your body:
Kreiner: 6 Div-Titles, 1 Conf-Title, 1 FWL Bowl,
Compton: 1 Div-Title...

Ahhhh...... refreshing taste....  Grin

But do not quit: Could you really be without FWL-Classic?

As for San Antonio...

3 years back I picked up Thunder Collins in the draft.  I had Bostic playing FB at the time, but when Collins came in as a sleeper his numbers were as good as Bostic's.  I like Bostic, and figured to play him anyway, but you can't just skip over a guy named "Thunder"... and also thought "I'll have to see to it Curtis Alexander is assigned the nickname of "Lightning".. Thunder and Lightning for a backfield! How fun is that?"

Sadly, I think he'll have to be referred to instead as Curtis "Schottenheimer" Alexander, being that after great regular seasons, he collapses utterly every year in the playoffs.  Seriously.  This guy rushed for 1281 yards this year, at 5.2/carry... and pulling his 33-yard end of game scamper the rest of the day he got 20 yards on 14 carries- 1.4/carry.  At home!  The last couple years he's picked up like 1 yard/carry in disastrous playoff losses as well.

Of course, my defense didn't help much... after giving up 3.6/carry over 14 games, they coughed up 6.2/carry this week.  At home.

Sigh....

My guess is that Mario paid off Alexander to avoid an embarassing loss in the FWL Bowl.  Only reasonable explanation, really.

I don't know so much, they forced and recovered 2 Ziesel fumbles which you turned into 10 points.

When you review the whole thing it was a pretty close game, and a couple of plays either way may have changed the outcome.......

Giving up 478 yards at 7.4/play is crap defense, especially at home.

If you can look at my starters and point out why they sucked so bad this week I'll buy the "close game" bit.

It's not that I faced a poor Ohio team, mind you, just that my team's solid and at home... and they collapsed, for the 3rd year in a row.

Perhaps sharing a first name with the London owner is causing some residual "Comptonization" of my team, and causing it to become utterly hapless when the playoffs roll around  Huh

14 seasons is enough "Comptonizing" for me, I've invited Paul to locate a new GM for the Monarchs.
