Dear GMs:

I am NOT willing to accept the outcome of this weeks games AMS-AUS for the simple reason the FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A ROW Paul made (or failed to make) roster changes by himself for the clear disadvantage of Austria.

This week he took away
1) Starting LB Rodriguez
2) Starting LB Ishida
3) Starting TE Watson

although i did NOT tell him to do so. I mailed him on during mid-week that the ONLY change he should do ist to put injured Rasmussen on the bench. That is all i told him.

I (seriously) call for a re-sim of the game - and i am not kidding....

I was just about to start a thread to apologise.

I've been working a lot of evenings and weekends lately and i do admit theres been some problems with the FWL, i messed up with another team the other week just because i've been so busy

I'm tempted to postpone the FWL for a while just so i can get this work done but i'll run Week 4 and see how it goes this week with my other work.

Apologies to you Mario, i'm sure i read on this forum that you were thinking of swapping your TE's because of an injury to Watson but either way you didnt send me roster changes for that move so that was my mistake.

As for the LB's i'm stunned why those two players were starting, bad mistake on my part.

I cant re-sim the game though, if i do that i have to load up the backup files and re-run the whole of Week 3 again which i cant do.  I hope it wont impact things too much later in the season, wouldnt have been so bad if you won this game but apologies.

Sadly these things happen from time to time because i have so many FWL changes to do along with my normal job/work on the side.

If it happened to another team this week it might not have been so bad but as this was a huge EFC clash obviously its terrible.  I'm stunned how those errors happened, was the teams.htm page okay ?  I can see why i did the TE switch as i'm sure you mentioned that at some stage (not a move but perhaps you were thinking of it) but the LB problem was bad.  Because in the past you always put a player on O or I if theyre P-1 i instantly did that for the TE as you mentioned that he may start.

Not that it makes it better (it doesnt) but in the past theres been mistakes with other teams.

Been chatting about this on email, at least now i know why those changes happened, in the Week 3 Preview thread you put...

"Announcement of Austrias Office:
All 5 injured players will sit out the game against Amsterdam. "With Scotlands losses i do not expect anyone chasing us in the race for the EFC West - title so a loss in Amsterdam would not be a major setback....", GM Kreiner told the press.

The following backups will move up to starting positions:
Rookie-TE Cotaglie (for TE1 Watson)
DT Brooks (playing as DE2; for DE1 Rasmussen)
LB Gavin Wells (for LB1 Rodriguez)
LB Matt Sinclair (for LB2 Ishida)
CB Ed Canonico (for CB2 Brightful)"

I then made these changes.  This is where the confusion was.  If you did this as a joke to 'fool' Niki its a nice idea but with the software thats not going to work, Niki isnt gonig to think 'Marios playing his backups, perhaps i'll play my backups' he just plays with his normal team.

I think this is a good case of where trash talking/fake rosters have created a problem like this.  Sorry but after reading all the 'evidence' yes it was a mistake on my part but now i dont feel guilty as you've confused matters by doing stuff like the above.  Only have yourself to blame for the confusion

With my life/work/marriage etc etc i normally do all the FWL moves at once on a sunday/monday before the games.  If i see changes like this on the forum i'll make them as i'm rushing about trying to find the changes on email and in this instance seeing this online.

No, it was no joke at all at that time. BUT that was last monday whereas i checked the play-play-file later this week and decided to give it a go with injured players as those players only where "shaken up" and would be full fit.

And because of that i wrote you an email on wednesday (maybe thursday?) where i stated shifts you had to do and i never wrote about shifting those players and replacing them with backups.

AND YOU EVEN REPLIED TO ME, asking for the I-slots to dupble-check in order to avoid mistakes. And you got a reply (i guess Friday....)

i am defenitely pissed....

Mario i only really update the webpages once a week after i do the games on sunday/monday

I saw your changes in the forum so made the changes in the software.  You then wrote to me about I slots and i wanted to double check, you put the positions, eg TE2, DT4 etc but you didnt put names.  So when in the forum you said TE Watson is TE2 you then said later he would be TE I

Like Niki said in an email how come you put players who are inactive to start suddenly in Week 3 when in past years you put P-1 players as inactive fearful they will get injured more and possibly retire ?  So in a Week 3 game you play these injured players but in a huge playoff do or die final you wont play them ?

Mario its a mistake and you didnt help by putting your changes up here on the website.

Too many people put changes like WR4-WR3 and sometimes without names it can be confusing.  If you want to send me your 7 inactive players then put their names also to stop confusion.

Yes you didnt write about shifting those players but you wrote in the forum about those players.

This time your silly 'mind games' have backfired as its been confusing as anything.  If it was just a charade to 'fool' Niki he wont play backups in a week 3 game will he all because you might be ?

Sorry Mario, i'm 'pissed' also because of the constant crap i'm getting from you.  You messed up.  If you dont want changes like the ones on the forum dont put changes like that on the forum

Don´t turn things around, Paul..

Like EVERY gameweek i sent you the mail with the subject "roster changes Austria" and i gave you EVERY roster change i wanted you to do. The both of us have been doing that for 10 seasons now.... You screwed it last game week (1 player). You screwed it this week (3(!) players).

You even REPLIED asking me for the I-slots to doublecheck... So what the hell are you talking about...

First of all: it is a GMs decision, or not?

@ Niki:
please care of your own business...

@ Paul:
Yes, maybe. There are things like "how good are my backups", "how severe is my injury" etc etc etc..... to be taken into account... ok or not?

If you want to send me your 7 inactive players then put their names also to stop confusion.
ok, i often do. BUT this has little to do with our topic, Paul.... It is not about the "I-Slotters" it is because of the "non-Starters"....

This time your silly 'mind games' have backfired as its been confusing as anything.  If it was just a charade to 'fool' Niki he wont play backups in a week 3 game will he all because you might be ?
I told you in another mail that i simply changed my tactics. I put the post on the forum on monday and told the leagues GM what exactly to do on wed or thur...

You messed up.  If you dont want changes like the ones on the forum dont put changes like that on the forum

I messed up???
Oh Lord....

Paul:
Have you ever, ever, ever before taken a forum-post as basis for a roster-move (unless the GM stated "i have no access to my mail" bla bla...)?

OH BOY!!!

I won´t reply any longer. Mistakes happen. If a mistake happens once it is not ok, but it can happen. If mistakes happen twice it is bad, but hey.. it is not life. But if the one who is the suffering part of all this is blamed for all that.... no way.....

let us go on....
it is just a game we play....

let me be pissed and let me bounce back by winning something this seaoson.....

To be honest Mario I don't think it would have made to much Difference to the result if those players were playing, I know it was a defensive game but I think Amsterdam are the best team in the league, ALSO there is 11 games left in the season and I REALLY don't think it will come down to this one game. You have to accept that mistakes happen.I would not get to bothered if I was you Mario You have a very good team and I will be VERY VERY surprised if you don't make the playoffs

You are the 'bad one' to make this public instead of emails between us plus the rants you have about this are so OTT its hard to take what you say seriously.  Mistakes happen, if this was a paid league then you have a case to get your money back/get errors corrected, its a fun league done for free with a lot of my time so sadly mistakes will happen but its frustrating when the other person goes mental about it.

In the past peoples email hasnt worked so there have been changes at the forum.  You were basically playing games by listing changes on here, i glanced and saw them and then made them.

You then wrote to me JUST about the inactives nothing else.

At the end of the day if you hadnt posted changes here none of this would have happened.

You know i cant re-sim the games as all the results may be different.  Sadly its just one of those things but your over the top reaction to this winds me up, i haev a ton of things going on in my life and a GM moaning that i made a mistake is something which i dont need to hear.

bla bla bla, at this moment I think I will start my worst possible team against you in the playoffs so I am sure you can win that game and I do not have to lissen to your crap anymore.

Personally you are for me a liability of this game. You always cry and blame everyone about everything and looks forward to irritate other people.

Hint of the week: if you do not want that other GM's mind your business, make no post of your complains in this forum. We also have something that is called email
