Yeah well i havent touched the HOF for a long long time ! The computer actually picks players to go into the HOF but some of its suggestions are ridiculous.
Then again its difficult not to pick say DT Rollin Putzier (
http://www.fwl.org.uk/alltime.htm#rputzier ) who because he was a veteran in the first season in the FWL only played one year. That year he had 19 sacks ! Now that we're in Season 17 theres a lot of players who have now played their whole career in the FWL and now have retired.
But again say a player was in his 7th year in Season 1 and retired after Season 5 (his 11th year) , he only played 5 seasons in the FWL and might have played well but looking at the career stats he wont really show.
We need an initial list of players who have retired (even if they played 4 seasons originally) and then from then on any retired players we can add to it.
If someone wants to do something i'll quite happily put it onto the site, eg
Class of Season 1
Have names of players who retired after Season 1
Have their stats for Season 1, a bit about the player
do that 16 times so the last one is..
Class of Season 16
Lots of names of players who retired and their stats/stories etc
Obviously we pick the best of the best.
OR write down all the retired players, do a poll and put in 3 a season so as we're in Season 17 (16 complete seasons x 3 = 48) there should be 48 in already. At the end of this season you can vote for another 3 players to go in.
In the NFL i think each player has to be retired is it 4 or 5 years ? To make things easier i would just let any retired player have a chance to go in the FWL hall of fame.
But if anyone wants to start anything i would be quite happy to put it on the site.
Be nice to click on 'Hall of Fame' then a popup window comes on with the player/player stats/info and you press forward/back to go through all the players or something
