The most stupid GM in town

Mario Kreiner has set many records and marks in the FWL. And he added another mark with the most stupid draft choice in the 17yr history of the league.

By picking a backup-punter in the 2nd round he stunned not only all other GMs, but also he stunned himself.

"There was a lot of talking and hectic in the course of the draft-process", a devastated Kreiner said to a press-member, "and i thought that the 2nd round was already over...."

Kreiner picked TE Todd Bargella in the first round and WR Brandon Middleton with #8 of the 2nd round before he stunned the crowd with backup-Punter Brandon Fields with #12 of the 2nd round....

"Infact i was totally confused. i THOUGHT that i already draftet WR McFoy with #12 as i called his name, but infact it was not yet my turn but i did not recognise that. So i thought that i picked Middleton with #8 and McFoy with #12."

When i was called to continue i thought it was the 3rd round and therefore i picked the Punter as i wanted him and had no 4th rounder. BUT INFACT IT WAS STILL THE #12nd ROUNDER. "

That should include the commissioner as well as long as he is involved in drafting the 13th useless DB for poor GMs who cannot make it to the draft in time....

He was rated the top DB !  Hes rated by the computer as the 4th best DB on his secondary already !

If people cant make the draft on time i cant spend ages working out their best picks, i have a quick look at sseason.htm to see where the holes are, eg for New York they had holes on defense hence a DT and a LB.  For Ohio they had a top 10 offense/defense so i didnt know who to pick so took the best CB

My Punter was rated BEST PUNTER so i am happy to announce that to be able to pick him as LATE as in the 2nd round was pure luck.

Why you want a punter though astounds me.

Season 12 (rookie year) - Ranks 5th
Season 13 - Ranks 6th
Season 14 - Ranks 2nd
Season 15 - Ranks 3rd ALL FWL
Season 16 - Ranks 2nd ALL FWL
Season 17 - Ranks 4th ALL FWL

The last 4 years hes been the top 4 punter every season, for his career hes never been worse than 6th !

Hes been named All-FWL on the Pro Bowl team the last 3 seasons yet you draft a punter in Round 2 ??

Its like Tom Brady winning another Superbowl and New England then drafting a QB in Round 2 !!

Bad bad move !  Never in american sports has a punter who has been named all-pro for 3 years suddenly gets a punter drafted in the 2nd round after his job !  Why did you want a punter (2nd or 3rd or 4th round) when you have one of the best in Cheek ?  Hes ranked 4th best all time on www.fwl.org.uk/alltime.htm.  His 44.8 gross average is 2nd best ever so far !

Thanks Mario.  The Aztecs are very happy to have picked up WR McFoy so late in the second round.

I'm sure that one day soon, McFoy will be returning the punts delivered by your 2nd round pick.

Excuses excuses !

I updated the draft page throughout last week and uploaded it every 4 or 5 picks .  If you do a F5 refresh you would have seen all the picks, you were way ahead of the rest of us !  A whole round !
