Bishop gets benched !

The Riders sent in their new lineup today (To be shown on the site tomorrow) and the major surprise was at QB. Michael Bishop who has been the starting QB for the Riders ( http://www.fwl.org.uk/alltime.htm#mbishop) for 8 straight seasons and has an incredible streak of 8 straight 3000+ yards passing per season was relegated to QB2 ! Bishop did have a poor year last season with just 9 td's and 7 ints and that stopped his streak of 100+ rating seasons at 7.

Bishop has vowed to try and win his job back but the starting role goes to Clint Stoerner. Stoerner was a former 5th round pick by Raleigh but was cut after one season. He was then signed by Scotland as a free agent and spent two seasons with Scotland holding a clipboard as a third QB.

He was traded to San Antonio for a 6th round pick after Season 14 and has spent the last two seasons as the third QB for the Riders. He only has one FWL start on his resume and that was back in Season 13 for Scotland. Stoerner had a great game with 388 yards, 3 td's and just 1 int but Craig Nall got his job back when he recovered from his injury.

Great move or a bad move ? Only time will tell.
