Week 7 Preview

Birmingham at Orlando

The Fire have hinted that QB Joe Hamilton may get the start if Burford struggles. After a tough loss last week will Hamilton get the start ? Orlando after beating London came back down to earth being held scoreless against Austria but until late in the game the score was 6-0 and Orlando did play well overall. The Thunder have played well lately and could get a surprise win at home.

San Antonio at Ohio

Huge game for both sides and it could be an important tiebreaker later in the year. San Antonio suffered a tough loss to the Surge last week and have to bounce back, travelling away to Ohio will be tough. Ohio didnt play a great game against Paris last week but at home they should be at their best.

Montreal at New York

The grumblings started last week, the fans started shouting for Phil Stambaugh. It wasnt Jason Campbells fault last week though as NY were blown out by Scotland, the defense fell apart and Scotland played a perfect game at home. Montreal had one of their best ever comebacks last week scoring 21 unanswered points against Barcelona. This will be a tough test for them as they are away but New York really have to bounce back.

Mexico at Raleigh-Durham

Raleigh have been in a lot of close games this year but have lost most of them. Mexico need this win to keep up the pressure at the front of the AFC West with San Antonio and Montreal all in a dogfight. The Skyhawks do play better at home but it will be tough against one of the top defenses in the league. A do or die game for Raleigh and a must win game for Mexico.

Sacramento at Berlin

Despite the loss last week the Thunder showed that this years team is no fluke and they are playing so well at the moment. Sacramento upset the Riders last week with a great win in overtime but it will be much harder this week against Berlin. Rookie QB Jeff Rowe is having a great season and could get another win here.

Frankfurt at Amsterdam

HUGE game in the EFC East. Amsterdam have won 4 straight and Frankfurt have played very well this year also. The Admirals seem to be in a great rhythm at the moment and should get this win at home.

Scotland at Rhein

New Rhein GM Joe Scannella knows there is a lot of work to do, look for new Rhein players to arrive and start as Scannella goes through the roster weeding out the players he doesnt want. Scotland had their best win of the year last week and QB Craig Nall is the top QB in the league. However it will still be tough against Rhein as they are on the road but this year Scotland have played very well away from home strangely enough.

Paris at London

After last weeks embarassment the Monarchs GM vowed there would be big changes if the losses continued. Lnodon played well against Rhein in all areas and top WR Travis Anglin should see some playing time as he is nearly recovered from his injury. WR Kassim Osgood had the best game of his career with a touchdown receiving and on a punt return and should continue to shine.

Austria at Barcelona

The Dragons played a great game away from home last week, their GM made several changes and they seemed to pay off. However not starting new T Kareem Marshall might have been a mistake as Tony Romo was sacked 8 times by Montreal. Austria could be in turmoil, they are only 3-3 and their GM Mario Kreiner is threatening to quit at the end of the year. If Austria lose any more games that might happen.
