Montreal at Birmingham

Despite playing a weakened squad last week the Fire were still in a close game with Montreal.  The Machine have talent all round and veteran HB Ken Simonton had a great year for the Machine. Birmingham had the best record in the league at 11-3 and their 3 defeats were by 5 points or less.  QB Joe Hamilton is a very effective QB and all he does is win. Montreal normally have playoff magic due to Danny Wuerrfel and co but this will be a tough task.  Birmingham are 6-1 at home this year, Montreal 2-5 away.

Amsterdam at London

How things change in a week.  If the Admirals had won they would have had the top seed in the EFC but a loss to London have now made them go on the road as a wildcard team. London put in a great performance last week away and will be expected to be better this week at home.  Amsterdam are eractic but when they are firing on all cylinders they are one of the best in the league. RB Joe Smith does not seem to be 100% since returning from injury and foer Monarch now Admiral QB BJ Symons will be starting the first playoff game of his career.  The Monarchs will be fired up for this one at home.

Ohio at Mexico

Both teams are reaching their peak, Mexico had a great win last week with their backups and have won 4 in a row, Ohio have won two in a row and had a great game last week from HB Jarrett Payton who was going through a bad year with his fumbles.  Despite ranking quite low the Mexico defense can cause a lot of big plays, Ohio have a top 10 offense and defense and AFC Offensive player of the year in QB Mike Pawlawski.  This should be a very close game but Mexico gets the nod as they are at home.

Scotland at Berlin

Tough game for Berlin who return to the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.  They face a team with a lot of playoff experience in Scotland who have 4 straight seasons with a playoff appearance and were in the FWL Bowl just 3 seasons ago.  Berlins offense has been superb under rookie QB Jeff Rowe and their defense has been sensational. Claymores QB Craig Nall smashed the record for passing td's with 26 and has a new weapon in WR Carlton Brewster who had the best game of his career last week against Paris.  Scotland should pile up points due to their passing offense, can Berlin hold them off ?  We give this one to Scotland due to their playoff experience.

well Amsterdam has no chance to win with two injured TE. Possibilty that the Ads will play without TE (Paul is that possible?)
