Thank you all for reminding me that I shouldn't have been looking for ways to have more fun with the game again--I should have just stayed entirely focused on the winning and losing.

No, I just wanted it this one time. I'm pretty disappointed that, rather than embrace the long-running competition between us, Mario is whining about the prospect of actually having to play me when I might potentially have good players. Forget the whole thing, then.

Oh, yes. me the bad boy again.  Roll Eyes

Just a summary of what has been said before everyone starts picking on me:

1) I was referring to the idea of starting to change schedules by hand after 15 seasons which i do not support, i am not "running away" from playing a potential FWL-Bowl-Team.
But yes i admit i rather have the PC roll the dice with a chance to get a non-playoff-team than having a FWL-Powerhouse year in year out as an opponent....
But finally i was offering a regular AUS-NY-matchup but i did not want to play it at home. Shouldn´t be too hard to understand?

2) Marco braught up which could help to set up a AUS-NY game courtesy of the PC: if Austria changes spot with Barcelona we might meet but the even better idea is: Have NY change their spot with Ohio or Orlando. I think i have been meeting Ohio and/or Orlando almost EVERY season. I tink it is a bug in the software but it could help to solve our "problem".....
I was playing Ohio and Orlando appr. 8-9 times, NY(!) and Birmingham 4 times and the rest where other teams....

3) Jason and i always had a nice rivalry. I would like to see him back in the leauge, maybe "version 2" (above) is the key....

Well as Jason isnt coming back i've put out feelers on various forums and had some good responses so i'm just going through the emails right now.

In the past i've changed players on the All-FWL team when there are errors (every year) by the computer, for everything else even if i dont agree with them (eg defensive player of the year) i leave as the computer rates players per game, you can list the player points everyone has for each season so i think thats how the computer chooses the all-fwl players.

The schedule i havent ever changed from what i remember, Jason mentioned to me that i used to change the schedule but i honestly dont remember that.  If i did anything to the schedule it was many many many seasons ago.

Like i say i'm in the middle here, would have been great to have Jason come back but on the other hand if Mario didnt want to play NY or other people think i should just keep with the standard schedule then thats their opinion.

Well we could try swapping the 'seeds' as that seems to be one of the major things, if you were playing Ohio/Orl all the time we could swap it so that you play NY.

I dont want to fix the schedule by hand but if its a case of swapping the seeds like Marco has said and then the computer automatically does the schedule and Austria play NY most seasons then that could work

After the FWL Bowl i'll send the files to Marco to see if he can do a quick change to them, as long as i dont have to hardcode something every year then thats alright.

Paul, i do not get it. Did i get something wrong here?
I thought this thread is closed as you called out for a new NY-GM already - so why should my schedule be changed?

That idea was meant to be the "offering" for Jason to come back in order to create Kreiner/Compton-matchups. But as he said he stays out there is no need to intervene......

Or even simpler: I like the way it is and the way it has always been, I would have accepted swapping seeds if that is the only way to bring Jason back but i see no need to swap them otherwise.
I am a bit confused now....

Well i wasnt sure how hard/easy it would be to change it, even though i wasnt that keen on changing the schedule as i havent (to my knowledge) ever changed those.

Anyway time to move on as i'm taking too much of my time going on about this, had two replies to one advert for the FWL GM job but its just a case of who to give it to.  The difficult thing is when a team is 12-2 some GM's can be bored, specially a newcomer who turns up and takes the job you know ?

yeah, sure.

Anyway.
Hope you have a good hand in getting a new GM and for the rest simply let the PC do his thing as usual....

Just have come from practise and my boys seem pretty confident. Hatchette is almost recovered, but both OL wll miss out the entire game....
Think i can win it.....

Note that it is unlikely that things are "the way it always has been" due to the various divisional changes there have been in the EFC since Season 1.

i rather should have said: "the way the computer always has put things his way...."

I'lll announce it properly tomorrow when i'm back home (away at the mo you see)

Found a brand new GM from nfluk.com , hes taken part in other fantasy leagues, loves simulation leagues and games (Eg Championship Manager) and seems to be very keen to play.  Played britball for a year or two and obviously a huge fan of the NFL.
